The Judgment
Standstill. Evil people do not favor the perseverance of the noble man. The great departs, the small approaches.
The Image
Heaven and Earth do not unite: the image of Standstill. Thus the noble man withdraws into his inner worth to escape the difficulties.
Meaning
Blockage, separation, decline. Forces are in opposition. A period of necessary retreat to preserve one's integrity.
The six lines
Line 1 (bottom)
When one pulls up weeds, the sod comes with them. Each according to its kind. Perseverance brings good fortune and success.
Line 2
They bear and endure. This means good fortune for inferior people. Standstill serves the success of the great man.
Line 3
They bear shame.
Line 4
He who acts upon the command of the superior remains without blame. Those who are of the same nature enjoy blessing.
Line 5
The standstill draws to an end. Good fortune for the great man. But if he should fail, if he should fail? Then he attaches it to a clump of mulberry trees.

The standstill comes to an end. First standstill, then good fortune.
