The Judgment
Deliverance. The southwest is advantageous. If there is nothing more to which one must go, return brings good fortune. If there is still something to which one must go, haste brings good fortune.
The Image
Thunder and rain set themselves in motion: The image of Deliverance. Thus the superior man pardons errors and forgives misdeeds.
Meaning
Deliverance, resolution, relief. The storm passes and tension is released. The moment is propitious for forgiveness and a new beginning.
The six lines
Line 1 (bottom)
No blame.
Line 2
One kills three foxes in the field and receives a yellow arrow. Perseverance brings good fortune.
Line 3
If a man carries a burden on his back and nevertheless travels in a carriage, he incites brigands to approach. Perseverance leads to humiliation.
Line 4
Free yourself from your big toes. Then the companion comes, and in him you can have confidence.
Line 5
If only the superior man can free himself, it is good fortune. Thus he proves to the inferior man that he is serious.
Line 6 (top)
The prince shoots at a hawk perched on a high wall. He kills it. Everything is advantageous.
